Entry to St Paul’s at 13+

Our admissions process is designed to identify boys who have a curiosity and flair for learning and who will also contribute to life at St Paul’s outside of the classroom.

The main entry point into St Paul’s School is into our Fourth Form (Year 9), with approximately half of the 198 boys coming from St Paul’s Prep School and the other half from a wide variety of prep schools (ending at Year 8) across London.

For boys joining from these prep schools, the assessment process begins with the completion of an online registration form in Year 5 or at the beginning of Year 6.

Please note, that whilst we welcome applicants from state primary schools, the 11+ entry point is the most appropriate entry point as it allows boys to spend two years in our Junior School before transferring to St Paul’s in the Fourth Form.

For boys currently at prep schools that end at Year 6, they may choose to either be assessed for the 11+ process, or choose the 13+ assessment process and transfer to another prep school before joining us in the Fourth Form.  We would be happy to provide advice on prep schools that welcome boys for Years 7 and 8.

We regret that it is not possible to sit both the 11+ and 13+ assessment process and the offer given is only for the entry point assessed.

The application process for 13+ entry in 2029 for boys born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016 will open in April.
