St Paul’s School has been shortlisted for the Engagement Campaign of the Year in the IDPE Development Awards 2025.
St Paul’s Giving Day 2025 united pupils, staff, parents, and alumni in support of our Shaping Our Future: Next Steps campaign, raising awareness for our bursaries and partnerships programmes.
Whilst a main aim of our Giving Day was to raise funds for bursaries and partnerships, a key factor for us was to engage our pupils in the real purpose of what the day was all about – to celebrate our founding mission and our commitment to grow these programmes. The ambitious element of this was to include a new, pupil-led element – a House colour run – that required a minimum of 15 pupils from eight Houses to take part in the run to raise awareness and unlock House points. Seven of our eight Houses managed to complete the challenge, in turn creating greater awareness of, and celebration for bursaries and partnerships, and encouraging more donors to give online in support of the boys’ engagement.
The whole school were encouraged to participate in a number of colourful activities onsite throughout the day. Not only the House colour run for the senior school, but also pupil bands playing during lunch breaks, the St Paul’s Prep School mass 80s aerobics warm-up to start the day, and a staff penalty shootout. Our wider community managed to raise an incredible £305,473 from 488 donors.
We received some wonderful feedback from donors over the course of Giving Day, including:
“I support this partnership because I believe it will have a significant impact on the community. Both of my sons have taken part as volunteers in the science and career partnership activities, which gave them a strong sense of purpose in return. I’m keen to continue supporting this initiative” – Anonymous, 30 April
“The generosity of our school community is a symbol of the camaraderie cultivated at St Paul’s. I am lucky to have been part of such an institution, and feel compelled to give back to support the next generation of Paulines. Go Paul’s!” – Anonymous, USA, 1 May
