After months of product development, multiple St Paul’s teams swept the board at the first round of the Young Enterprise Company of the Year Awards last week.

At the Richmond and Kingston showcase, Zenair took home two awards for best presentation and most innovative product. Revive, came runner up and Hex, who have generated revenues of over £2.7k selling their modular beehive and bird feeder system, took home the no.1 prize of best overall company.

As a result, St Paul’s entrepreneurs continue to break records with an unprecedented four teams entering the quarterfinal stages which consists of the entire North, West and South London regions competing at the next round at Rathbones Asset Management in Mayfair on Tuesday 21 April. We wish all of them the very best of luck.

We also had 320 pupils from SPGS and SPS onsite yesterday for Fifth Form Entrepreneurship Day which saw pupils break into 24 teams to develop an original restaurant concept to a panel of judges lead by St Paul’s very own Executive Chef Dan Trace. SAHO, a modern south African restaurant and Gamtae, a novel take on Korean fine dining won the top two awards, with both teams taking home prizes from the pot of £300.
